Artificial Reef – Loch Linnhe

PROJECT
OVERVIEW

The Loch Linnhe Artificial Reef complex, completed in 2006, was designed to provide an experimental platform to facilitate research into the interaction between man-made structures and their environment, modifying the local environment and biodiversity. Tritonia Scientific has been monitoring this complex for several years and has developed methods to model entire reef modules in high turbidity, low visibility environments.
