Wreck at Phuilladobhrain – Isle of Seil

PROJECT
OVERVIEW

There are numerous shipwrecks in the intertidal zone along the coast of Scotland, including some of notable cultural heritage interest. Here, we assessed the utilisation of drone surveys to measure the degradation of such wrecks on remote beaches and islands. Drone-based photogrammetry allows these wreck to be digitally persevered indefinitely, whilst also indicating debris or pollution risks from larger vessels.
