PROJECT
OVERVIEW

Research was conducted as part of a NERC funded PhD in marine robotics with a student from the Scottish Association for Marine Science, Next Generation Unmanned System Science Centre for Doctoral Training (NEXUSS CDT). The research aims were to compare Structure from Motion (SfM) photogrammetry techniques of SCUBA divers and ROV technology in order to develop a novel method for monitoring commercial scallop stocks in Scottish seas.

Tritonia Scientific provided full HSE SCUBA diving support, ROV piloting using our BlueROV2 Remote Operated Vehicle, and SfM model processing in our state-of-the-art Agisoft Professional processing suite.
